Genuine OEM Mercury MerCruiser drive gear lube reservoir assembly removed from a MerCruiser 4.5L MPI V6 200HP engine.
This factory drive gear lube reservoir, Part Number 8M0096778, is designed to supply and monitor gear lubricant for compatible MerCruiser sterndrive systems. The assembly includes the molded plastic reservoir, integrated filler neck, mounting ears, fluid level sensor with wiring pigtail, and hose barb fitting exactly as shown.
The reservoir appears structurally sound with no visible cracks, broken mounting tabs, or damaged hose connections. The original fluid level sensor and electrical connector are included. It shows normal signs of previous freshwater use including light fluid staining inside the reservoir, minor cosmetic wear, and typical installation marks.
