Genuine OEM GM Vortec cast iron cylinder head, casting number 12558059, removed from a freshwater Mercury MerCruiser 5.0L MPI engine. This OEM Vortec cylinder head is commonly used on GM-based 5.0L (305 CID) and 5.7L (350 CID) MerCruiser MPI and carbureted marine engines equipped with Vortec-style cylinder heads.
This head features the 8-bolt Vortec intake manifold design and includes the factory-installed valves, valve springs, retainers, and keepers exactly as shown. The casting appears complete with no visible cracks, broken mounting ears, or obvious external damage.
Removed from a running freshwater engine and sold exactly as pictured. As with any used cylinder head, it is recommended that the head be professionally inspected, pressure tested, and resurfaced as needed before installation.
